HCS students in grades K-11 complete the National Assessment Test every spring. National Assessment test results provide helpful information for teachers and parents when assessing student academic growth as well as improvements that can be made in instruction and curriculum.
HCS students scores typically rank in the 80th percentile of national averages and they are typically in the upper 1/3 of ACSI schools. In 2010, HCS students scored in the top 19% of other American students (from both private and public schools) who took the SAT. Also in 2010, the HCS 10th grade students’ combined reading score was in the top 7% of the nation.
